Lone Pine!!!

For some reason, the Lone Pine Time Trial is everyone's favorite event. It is held every year around Memorial Day at Manzanar Airstrip, just outside Lone Pine, CA, near the base of Mt. Whitney. It's a desolate area and the weather is always hot, hot, hot. Sometimes there's severe wind which created a sandstorm and the cars driving by on the course create dust devils but we keep going back year after year. I've been there every year since 1999.
